London's first (actually second) snow.

We live in Georgia, so we almost NEVER get snow. Even when it does rarely snow, it NEVER sticks. Well today we got both. Mike and I have lived in Columbus for almost 4 years now and it has only snowed twice. The first time was the day after London was born, it snowed 3 inches (and it actually stuck). Today, just 2 weeks short of his first birthday, we got 4 inches of snow. Obviously London doesn't remember his first snow, so I will probably count this as his first.

I took him out to play when it first started snowing, but to be honest he wasn't all that interested. As usual he kept trying to eat the rocks in our flower beds. It was much more successful after a few inches accumulated. Here are the pictures.

Early on in the day. He was already focused on a rock.

Once we got a few more inches he really started to have fun.

Eating the snow.

London LOVES to be held upside down. Seriously, it is his FAVORITE thing to do. So here Mike is doing the "Who is this Child?" upside down lift. London couldn't stop laughing.

Here I am doing the much safer "Mom" version of upside down time.
This is what happens when you stop "upside down" time. He does this to me all the time. He buries his head into my legs and cries. It is usually immediately followed by a huge temper tantrum.

However he does eventually get over it.

Ok so maybe Dad is having more fun than London, but he was still a little mad about "upside down" time though.

He was REALLY mad when we had to come inside.

DH says "So this is in Alaska?" (Where we are right now.) I said "No, Georgia." He said "Ha! I couldn't tell."

So cute!

Love the mommy upside down.
