Welcome ICLW and Third Trimester!

Wow, I am seriously horrible with my blog right now. I just feel like no one wants to hear me whining about heartburn, body aches, and my stomach stretching. I swear I'm not an ungrateful pregnant woman, but yikes pregnancy is different this time.

First off WELCOME ICLW!

My name is Aly and I am a 30 year old stay at home mom and blog designer
(It was 8 in the morning when I took this picture, no make up, but I did put this dress and earrings on just to take the picture. I figured yoga pants and a chocolate stained t-shirt might be too real for todays photo. )

No I didn't eat a few too many snickers (well actually I did, but that's a whole different post), I am actually 28 weeks pregnant after my second IVF cycle. (YAY!! Third Trimester!!!) We are expecting a baby boy on November 9, 2011 who we are going to name Holden Alexander. I've already experienced a fair amount of preterm labor, including a brief stay in labor and delivery at 24 weeks, so we are all expecting this little man to make his appearance a little early. Hopefully not before 37 weeks though. I am currently on P17 shots, Procardia, and modified bedrest. That little cocktail seems to be doing the trick and everything has been pretty uneventful for the last month or so.

Thankfully I have been moved up to "modified bed rest" because bed rest was almost impossible while chasing around a certain 2 1/2 year old. This is love of my life, product of my first IVF, and the reason I have an abundance of grey hair at 30.

Meet London Michael

and because one picture is NEVER enough...
(after bath time)

And then there is my amazing husband...

Wait a minute....My husband is 50 times hotter than that guy!
(Unless Ryan Gosling is reading this and in that case...Mike would totally understand, after all Ryan is at the top of my sex-ceptions list which makes it totally legal! :) )

This guy is my hottie- Jersery Shore watching- spreadsheet obsessed husband.
When he grew his hair out, it was easy to see where London got his curls.

I'm almost certain he was pinching my butt in this picture hence my surprised face. But hey, that is pretty typical  for Mike so maybe this picture is fitting.

So now you have met my family! We are quite the wacky bunch, but we are always good for a laugh...even if you are laughing at us :)
Feel free to stick around, become a follower, and enjoy the craziness!

I'm a little late on this one today, but things have been crazy! (Yes, I am aware that I always say that.)

Hello new visitors! I'm going to keep this short and sweet since it is WAY past my bedtime (Yes, I am aware that I always say that too.)

My name is Aly, I'm 29 (+1year) and I am married to the most amazing man in the world (who is probably reading this, so that's my story and I'm sticking to it). We have one crazy, hyper, short tempered PERFECT little boy. London is 2 years old and was conceived through the miracle of IVF (Invitro Fertilization). He is truly the love of our life.

Back in February, we started on another IVF adventure in an effort to bring baby #2 into this world. We were lucky and managed to hit the jackpot once again. I am currently 11 weeks pregnant!! (Hurry up 2nd Trimester!)

I love my life, husband, and babies...not so much my dogs right now as they are shedding A LOT but I'll save that story for a different day. HAHA! (Come on people, of course I love my dogs, It was a joke!)

Welcome ICLW!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Infertility Overachievers. Ok, maybe it's not all that wonderful, Infertility actually SUCKS. In case you have stumbled onto my blog through Google or some other search engine and don't know anything about Infertility, let me just take this minute to assure you that you are in the wrong place.

Here are some of the most popular keywords that people use to find my blog, yet they have nothing to do with what I actually write about.

London Money: I apologize, London is my son and he was very expensive since we had to do IVF to get pregnant with him. Actually I get a bunch of hits from people searching for pretty much anything about London. Sorry to the poor guy who wanted to find the "best restaurant in London" and some how ended up listening to me talk about my period and uterine lining. My bad, dude. MY BAD!

Decuplets: Seriously, I get about 50 hits a month from this one (and have now just guaranteed about another 100 by mentioning it again). A few months ago I had a dream that I had decuplets (10) boys. I seriously freaked out. You can read about it here if you are curious. I'm sorry to disappoint all of you stopping by to find out if I'm the next Octomom. You know trying to get pregnant via IVF just so I can have a litter of babies. Nope, that's not me at ALL!! I'm actually scared of even getting twins this time from IVF. So holding my 10 babies while being interviewed by Good Morning America is definitely NOT on my to-do list. Sorry to disappoint you.

Dating an overachiever: Ummmm, I totally understand how they found my blog by googling this. Especially since I have been talking about my "dates" for my upcoming IVF cycle recently. However let me assure you that it's not the type of "dates" you are referring to and trust me I am NOT the type of overachiever you would want to date.

So if you found my blog because you want to listen to me ramble about my infertility journey. YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE!!! Here is what you need to know about me.

I have been lazy recently about blogging. I'm pretty sure my followers are going to have some kind of stroke when they see that I have written 3 posts in 3 days. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things though.

On February 6th we will be starting IVF #2 in order to make London a big brother. I'm hoping for a girl, but the main goal is just to have another baby and not decuplets. I am planning to write all about my IVF at least once a day. My very first post on this blog was when I was gearing up for IVF #1 back in June 2008. So it will be fun to be able to look back during this cycle.

I have been keeping myself busy recently by designing blogs. I started a little business called Bridge Work Blog Designs.  My hope is that this will keep me busy during IVF/pregnancy by keeping my mind off my other two loves, wine and sushi. Don't worry I have a box of oreos on standby in case designing blogs isn't enough.

Kick up your feet, become a follower, and stay for a while. Next month is bound to be an interesting one.

PS. While you are here don't forget to enter the Bridge Work Blog Designs Giveaway that I have going on right now.

Welcome ICLW!

Welcome ICLW!!

My name is Aly. I am 29 years old and SAHM to our IVF miracle, London.
Welcome to my little slice of the interwebz.

This is me:

This is the hubs
(AKA: Mike)

And this is the little man who stole our hearts
 (AKA: London).

Now a little bit about us.

After 2 years of infertility treatments (due to unexplained IF) we were finally able to get pregnant with London after our very first IVF cycle.  He was born in February 2009 but I officially have baby fever again. My husband was an Army Captain before getting out and starting a job in the civilian world just a few weeks ago. It has been quite the transition but we are slowly getting used to things on "the outside". The good news is that his new company offers infertility coverage including IVF. So we really lucked out in that department. We have decided to do IVF #2 in January but the wait is all but killing me.

Feel free to look around and make yourself at home. Here is our complete Infertility Journey starting back in 2006 if you would like to read all about it.  I love comments so don't be shy!
Prop up your feet become a follower and stay a while.

Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to getting to know you (and your blog).
