I got PUNKED!

So as I mentioned a few weeks ago, I got this awesome new phone, Droid X. In case I haven't mentioned it recently, I LOVE IT! Anyway... I found a great application for my phone called MyDays. Basically it is just a little calendar that keeps track of your cycle. It tells you when you're supposed to start and when you're supposed to ovulate. You can also mark a alot of other fertility signs, it pretty much has it all. You can tweak the days in case you don't have the perfect 28 days cycle or don't happen to ovulate on cycle day 14 every month. It works great and has never been wrong. Well AF* and MyDays decided to joined forces this month and PUNK me.  I was supposed to start my period today. Nothing exciting there. I don't even bother to get excited anymore because every 28 days, like clock work, AF makes her grand appearance.

So this morning on the very day the Mydays promised I was going to start, I roll out of bed, headed to the bathroom...and NOTHING. So what do I do? I do what any infertile woman who is officially one day  LATE does, I squeal and reach over to a drawer that contains no less that 5 pregnancy tests. On this particular morning though I didn't have any cheapies, no Dollar Tree tests, not even a regular two pink line test. All I had were digitals, expensive $15 a pop digitals. I weighed my options of waiting until tomorrow to test so I could pick up a few of the handy dandy $1 tests from the Dollar Tree or I could suck it up and waste the digital on a more than likely BFN.

The Decision!
(Did you really think I could wait?)

I wasted $15 on NOT PREGNANT!! Thanks AF, that was a great way to add insult to injury! I got PUNKED! I guess I will start my period at some point. At least I can have that "AF is here" celebratory glass of wine tonight without a silly pregnancy getting in the way.  **SIGH**

This post is brought to you by the letter "A"

Well first off, apparently today at 12 dpo A F  decided to come make a little visit. Today on the magical day of testing, the day where I was really expecting hoping to see those magical two pink lines. Instead I just saw, RED! I am not going to lie, I really didn't think this was going to work. We tried on our own for over a year and then did another year of if treatments before having London. That included 3 IUI's, numerous timed intercourse cycles, and then lastly IVF. As much as I don't want to admit it, IVF might be the only chance we have of getting pregnant. At least we have IVF though. At least we have that option, and we know that it can (and hopefully will again) work for us. That is more than alot of other infertile's have. I have to be thankful for that.  I have decided that I don't want to try more fertility treatments next month. We just have way too much going on. What you ask?
The A rmy  is moving us!! Yep that is right, we are finally headed out of Fort Benning. We have been here FOREVER. Ok, so maybe it has only been 4 years but in the Army that is forever. Due to my husbands job, I can't tell you where we are going. I can however tell you that we are going to staying in the south. This southern girl, couldn't be more happy about that. I mean seriously, you can not put a price tag on being about to order sweet tea at a restaurant, and it not coming out of a fountain or can. Here is the kicker, we knew these orders were going to be coming. When they came though we were a little shocked. Report date: JUNE 1. Are you kidding me. In one month I have to pack a house, find renters, find a new house, close on the new house, move into the new house. I have to do all of this with a baby, 3 pups, and husband in tow. :)
As you can see, we have a BUSY month ahead of us, so this cycle we are going to try the old fashioned way. I have heard this is very sucessfull. It consists of getting drunk and making out in the back of a car on prom night. Ok so maybe we will have to modify that method since we won't have a prom, but I am sure we can figure something out. HAHAHA!

Don't forget my giveaway ends on Sunday. Go ENTER!  I was thinking the other night. This would also make a GREAT deployment necklace for all of my army wife readers! You could get your anniversary date on it or something like that!

10 Dpo = BFN

Well I tested this morning, and of course it was a BFN (Big Fat Negative). It is still really early so I am not about to give up yet. When we did IVF, I was the equivalent to 10 dpo when I got my very first HINT of a second line. Even then I wasn't sure that the second pink line was really even there. So I'm not giving up hope this time. It could still be another 3-4 days before I see anything, if I am really pregnant. I guess I will just have to wait and see. Ugh, but waiting is so hard! Can someone please use the Tivo remote and fast forward my life, just a few days. I can't stand the waiting!!

Ding Dong, the trigger is gone!

I tested this morning to see if my trigger is gone from my system and thankfully it is. I can now trust any super faint second line that I might get over the next week. I won't have to sit around and wonder if that squinter is still the trigger leaving my system. Break out your magnifying glasses readers, I have decided to test again FOR REAL on Wednesday. I just don't think I can wait all the way until Friday. So get ready to see squint at pregnancy tests with me as I am sure I will be posting them here. HAHA!

Also, my blog might be acting a little funny for the next few days. I am making the switch to my new domain name www.InfertilityOverachievers.com It takes a few days for my blog to adjust and for me to add some of the gadgets back on the side, but I promise I will get it all fixed up soon. I am so excited to finally have my personal domain.

OK well I will I better be going. I am entirely too much stuff to get done today.

4dp, 5dp, 6dp, 7dp, AND 8dp3dt!

OK so I do realize I have not updated in a few days and here is why

4dp3dt (Jamie and Ashley), this means "4 days past my 3 day transfer" (they put 3day old embies back inside me so I am 4 days past the 3 day transfer) So this morning I woke up and got what I THOUGHT to be a positive pregnancy test, I took another kind though, and that one was negative. I got a little excited but counted it as a negative.

5dp3dt: One test again had a super super super faint line on it, but again the other test had a negative.

6dp3dt: All tests were negative, I started to get REALLY discouraged. I just didn't feel pregnant. Mike and I had started to move money around in our bank account to cover the $7,000 we spent on IVF, and I started to have buyers remorse because I'm just NOT pregnant!

7dp3dt: Two more test had faint faint lines on them, I QUIT!!!!!!! I can not sit here and stare at two F-ing tests for another day. I was pissed why can't pregnancy test either have one line or two, why do they make them to show FAINT barely visible lines. A few cuss words later, I tried to relax. I mean I went back to look at the tests and maybe they are not so faint, wait, WHAT? Why don't I have to squint to look at that pregnancy test? Wait, there are really TWO PINK lines on that test? Ugh, I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to take another test to know for sure.

8dp3dt (TODAY): If a picture is worth a THOUSAND words this one should be worth 7,000 ($)

Yep, that's right ladies, I AM PREGNANT!!!!!! I will still have my beta on Monday which will give us a exact NUMBER of how pregnant I am, it also might give us an idea of how many babies we have growing in there. Everyone please keep praying that this baby sticks. The first hurdle is down but I still have about 9 months worth to go. Mike and I are ECSTATIC!! There is really something so magical about a digital pregnancy test, something about the word PREGNANT popping up, just gives me chills.

Ok, I'm off to make Chicken Salad, Mike and I and his entire family are going to Callaway Gardens for the 4th of July activities. We have decided to go ahead and tell his family today (They ALL know we did IVF, I mean I actually stayed with my MIL, so they are kind of chomping at the bit) Here is how we are telling them. We bought this t-shirt a few months ago to give as a present to Mikes 18 month old niece, Lily. We are going to give her the present today and see how long it takes the whole family to figure it out. EEEKKK!!!, I'm so excited!
