Aches, Pains, and a Haircut

I updated a few days ago how fun this stage of pregnancy is. Well, the joke is definitely on me.

For the last few days I have been in soooooo much pain. My back is killing me and so is my ummm...pelvis. Just moving my legs hurts so badly. I'm only 18 weeks. Is this a stage or is going to be this way for the rest of my pregnancy? This is how I felt towards the end of my pregnancy with London, you know when I was 30+ weeks and the countdown to my baby was in full swing. I hated it then but I knew the end was in sight.

This time I'm not even close to the 3rd trimester. There is no countdown to my baby yet. Well there is but I can't even bare to look at it (152 days left if you must know).

I do have a few factors that could be contributing to my overall soreness. The other day I spent about 30 mins pulling weeds out of my flower beds. Yep, it took 30 mins to do it, and trust me it could have used another 30 mins. I was bending over and standing up, so maybe that is why my back is so sore. I can't imagine being sore for 3 days because of that though. My umm...pelvis is the worst right now though. It hurts just to roll over in bed at night.

Ugh, I guess I will just have to toughen up and hope it goes away soon. Tylenol might just be my new best friend.

On a side note, London got a haircut. The lady got it ALOT shorter than usual (Mike really likes to keep it long so you can see his curls). He looks like such a big boy now. It makes me smile and want to cry all at the same time.

I can't find the wire to hook up my camera right now, so here are a few cell phone pictures of his new do.

Before: After a long day playing in the dirt.

After: Even London was a little shocked at how his hair turned out.

I know exactly what you mean! I swear I have the aches and pains earlier this pregnancy!

SO CUTE!!!

I believe all your ligaments and stuff just gets looser earlier on with second and subsequent pregnancies. Really seeing a chiropractor was the best thing for me, I ended up with SEVERE sciatic pain and could barely walk at one point but they fixed me right up! I don't see one when I'm not pregnant, but when I am it is good for them to help keep everything aligned and it really helps with the aches and pains :)

I like the haircut! Also I am 29 weeks pregnant and I just went to the chiropractor and got adjuster cause I was having the same problem and now I feel great! Just a idea to throw at you.

With my first my back killed me as did my unmentionable area later in pregnancy. Turned out I had varicose veins where I never knew you could get them and it was the worst. If you are dealing with anything like that, ice helped and now they make a support for it. For the back have you tried chiropractor or a maternity support belt type thing?

The same thing happened to me. Get yourself a back support band thing, and try to take it easy. Mine didn't let up until after I gave birth. HA So hopefully you have better luck, but the band was the only thing that seemed to ease mine up a bit.

I hate to tell you this, but I had the soreness and aches BAD with my second pregnancy. It all started around 18-20 weeks and it NEVER went away. It hurts so bad that some days are hard to get dressed because the pain gets worse when you lift your leg. I was told it was from all the relaxin (or something like that) your body produces while pregnant.

I love London's new haircut! He is such a handsome boy :-)

I hear that from a lot of women in their second pregnancy. Chalk it up to everything stretching and the fact that now you're chasing a toddler around while being pregnant! The little one that I've been a nanny to for so long has big curls like that. He'll be 3 at the end of this month and still has never had a haircut since his curls just keep getting tighter. I just love his hair.

Thanks for thinking of me. I'm hoping things will start to look up soon, or at least reach a pitiful bottom that brings a fresh start, even if that fresh start most likely means no babies anywhere in the near future.

I had serious pelvic pain in my pregnancy (1st) - it hurt to put pants on, take pants off, get in and out of bed/cars, walk up stairs, walk up an incline. It felt like something had taken a baseball bat to me. haha.

It didn't go away until after I had Dayne - so I'm sorry to say you're probably just in the beginning stages! Sorry!!!
